Needle specification and notes

Needles for these machines are no longer made, and are hard to come by. Even the one in the link above is not a proper fit for the machine. The shank of the needle is too long. In order to compensate for this, a 1/3-inch portion needs to be cut off from the top of the shank of the needle before use. This can be done with wire cutters. Make sure you wear eye protection!

Threading

The pictures below show how the machine should be threaded. It should be threaded from front to back, and the long groove of the needle should be facing the sewer in the front.
